Petland lends a hand with tornado relief Local pet retail stores partner with vendors to aid pet owners
Chillicothe, OH June 1, 2011 – Petland stores are organizing local relief efforts with vendors to provide necessary supplies to families with pets affected by the storms in Alabama and Missouri.
Shipments of collars, leads, bowls, food, carriers and other necessities are being coordinated from Coastal Pet Products, Hagen, Natural Balance, PetEdge, Furhaven and Midwest Pet Products.
Keith and Leah Evans, owners of the Petland in Montgomery, and lifelong residents of Alabama will be coordinating the donations at their store on East Chase Parkway in Montgomery.
For those residents that want to help, the Petland store in Montgomery will also accept donations and will sell t-shirts and frisbees with 100% of the proceeds going to families and pets affected by the storms.
Rick and Ashley Lane, franchisees of the Petland store in Joplin, will be organizing donations at their location on East 7th Street in Joplin. RFG Distributing is donating over 3,000 lbs. of food. Although their location is temporarily in a restricted area, they are accepting deliveries and mail. Donations can be mailed to 3102 East 7th Street, Suite 400, Joplin, MO 64804.
Donations are also being accepted at Petland’s corporate office for relief. 100% of the funds collected will be distributed to relief efforts. Donations can be mailed to Petland, Attn: Tornado Relief, 250 Riverside Drive, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
